On March 22nd, I photographed the union of my good friends, Alana and Pete, at the Snowcastle in Yellowknife. I've worked several weddings since going freelance and they are all great, but this was one of the best. The ceremony was held in a kingdom made of ice and snow, and the reception took place in a rustic lodge outside of town. It was all so cute and quirky that I imagine Pinterest had an orgasm, lit a smoke and passed out beside an adorable fireplace that night. In other words, it was beautiful. And the dance floor...wow! When one guy burns a hole in his shoe, and another splits the crotch of his pants from tearing up the dance floor, you know its a good time.
Below is a sampling of photos from the day. I don't normally post so many on my blog but wanted to make sure friends and relatives from afar are included here.
Huge thanks to Pete, Alana and their friends and family who traveled long distances to be here. It was great to meet all of you. I hope you enjoy these moments for a lifetime.
