2015 Year in Review / by Pat Kane

At the end of each year, I like to take a look back at some of the people and places I've photographed. It never seems like I do very much throughout the year until I go through my files and come face to face with a mountain of images on my hard drive. Some of the highlights in 2015 were photographing the Yukon Quest, shooting a horror film for the Dead North Film Festival with my pal Jay, eating polar bear prepared by Angela Hovak Johnston, attending the Boreal Bash/Workshop in Toronto, and spending time in the Yellowknife jail for VICE magazine. But my most memorable experience this year was spending 9 days at Tathlina Lake with the Kakisa Dene First Nation and documenting their annual fall moose hunt for a project called On the Land

Below is a mishmash of all sorts of photos I took this year for a variety of clients and assignments. I hope you enjoy them. Happy new year!
